The first month of the new year started strong with ongoing renovations in the gîte. We went to IKEA to pick out a kitchen and laid down laminate flooring throughout the entire space. Meanwhile, all the rooms have been painted, and the gîte is really coming together.
January wasn’t just about renovations—it was also a month of celebrations. While mamie and papie were still with us, we celebrated two birthdays: dad’s and mamie’s! After five wonderful weeks together, it was time to say goodbye as they returned home.
Outside, we continued working in the garden to prepare everything for spring because the pool construction has officially begun! If everything goes as planned, it will be ready by the end of February, and we’ll finally be able to open the pool—something we are really looking forward to.
We also picked up a lot of furniture for the gîte, so now it’s all about adding the finishing touches. It’s really starting to take shape!
Another milestone this month: we sent out our first newsletter! Plus, our YouTube channel continues to grow, which keeps us motivated to share our journey.
